Copperas Cove, Texas. Since 1982.

Let us take a crack at it.

That line has been on our vans for years, and it is still the shortest honest description of the job. Something in your house has failed, and somebody has to open it up and find out why. We have been doing that here since 1982.

One shop, five towns

We never
moved.

Cove Plumbing was incorporated in Texas in July 1982 and has worked out of the same red and white building on E Business Hwy 190 ever since. Across from Goodwill. If you grew up here you have driven past it a few thousand times.

One of our customers left a review last year that said he had been calling us for thirty years. That is the whole pitch, really. We are still here, the number still works, and somebody still answers it.

Backflow, opened up

This is what a backflow test actually looks like.

Not a sticker on a box. The assembly comes apart on the pad, every seat and spring gets looked at, and it goes back together or it gets rebuilt. Backflow testing is painted on the side of our vans because we actually do it.

The numbers, without decoration

Nothing here is rounded up.

Every figure on this page is one you can go and check. The rating is whatever Google says it is today, and the year is on the state filing. If a shop will shade a number about itself, you have no reason to trust the one on your estimate.

Water heaters

The tank is usually not the problem.

Central Texas water is hard, and hard water puts sediment in the bottom of a tank until it starts to rumble. By the time most people call, the anode rod gave up years ago. We would rather flush it than replace it, and we will tell you which one you are actually looking at.

Customers keep naming the same people. Wes and Jackson. Gabriel. Tina, who does the scheduling and apparently tells everybody what a job will cost before it starts.

  • I had a shower issue that required a plumber. I contacted Cove Plumbing after looking at their reviews and I was not disappointed. Their customer service was great and they managed to schedule me a same day appointment. Service technician was very professional and provided quick assistance. I highly recommend their services and will definitely contact Cove Plumbing with any future plumbing needs.

  • I had been meaning to have a toilet stabilized/secured and a loose faucet tightened up, saw the business on my way home and stopped in. The office manager/dispatcher (apologize I didn't get her name) was knowledgeable, friendly and up front about all costs. She also was able to fit me in to the schedule a couple of hours later in the same day! Wes & Jackson showed up and got right to it. They were professional, thorough and probably in and out in no more than 15 minutes and the work was done well! I solidly recommend these guys as well as their cost. Steve

  • Excellent service. Arrived on time for our requested appointment time. Very processional. Told us we didn't need a repair and showed us how to turn on/off the faucets to the washing machine. If we should require plumbing service in the future we will definitely call Cove Plumbing.

How it usually goes

Somebody turns up when we said, and tells you what it is.

The trucks are stocked, so most repairs finish on the first visit instead of after a parts run. Estimates are free and we try to get one back to you inside a few hours. If something is not right afterwards, tell us and a plumber comes back to make it right.

Before you call.

The things people ask on the phone, answered here so you do not have to.

Since 1982. The company was incorporated in Texas that July and has run out of the same building on E Business Hwy 190, across from Goodwill, ever since. One of our reviewers has been calling us for thirty of those years.

No. Estimates are free, and we try to get one back to you within a few hours of the day you ask. If we miss your call, someone in the office will get back to you.

Call the on-call line, (254) 554-1405. The office runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 5:00, but the on-call number is answered around the clock, weekends and holidays included.

The team carries more than 60 years of combined plumbing experience, and we are regulated by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. Trucks are stocked so most repairs get finished on the first visit rather than after a parts run.

Electric, propane and natural gas. We sell A.O. Smith and repair every major brand. If you are buying a house, we also handle the real estate inspection side: checking the heater's location meets city code, pulling the permit, and walking you through the city inspector's visit.

A sewer camera to find the blockage, a jetting machine or a roto machine to clear it, then the camera again to prove it is actually clear. Guessing is how a drain gets unblocked twice.
