Water heaters
Electric, propane, gas. We sell A.O. Smith and fix the rest.
We install and repair electric, propane and natural gas water heaters, and we are a proud seller of A.O. Smith. If a house sale is waiting on an inspection, we handle that too.
Three fuel types, one shop that works on all of them
Most of the calls we get are electric, but Central Texas has plenty of propane tanks and natural gas lines running to the water heater closet, and we service all three the same way: diagnose first, replace only what actually failed. We sell A.O. Smith new, and we repair whatever is already installed, Kohler, Moen, Delta, American Standard fixtures included once the heater itself is sorted.
What the test itself tells us
An install is not finished at the tank. A closed system needs somewhere for the pressure from thermal expansion to go, which is what the expansion tank in the photo here is doing, copper flex on one side, a stainless connector on the other. Skip that part and the fittings work themselves loose slowly, long after the crew that skipped it is gone.
We also service Kohler, Moen, Delta and American Standard fixtures once the water heater itself is sorted. Call (254) 275-4275.

Real estate inspections
A water heater can hold up a closing. We would rather it did not.
Copperas Cove sells a lot of houses to people who just got their orders for Fort Cavazos, and a water heater in the wrong spot is one of the most common things a city inspection catches on a new purchase.

We check that the unit sits where the city code says it should, in a garage that is attached, in a closet that is properly vented, wherever the local rules put it, and we pull the permit if one is missing. When the inspector comes out, we are usually the ones standing there with the buyer, walking through what he is looking at and why.
It is a small piece of a much bigger move for most of the families who need it, and it is the kind of thing that either gets found or gets missed entirely before closing. We would rather it got found by us, on a Tuesday, than by an inspector with a deadline attached.
In their words
"I had a shower issue that required a plumber. I contacted Cove Plumbing after looking at their reviews and I was not disappointed. Their customer service was great and they managed to schedule me a same day appointment. Service technician was very professional and provided quick assistance. I highly recommend their services and will definitely contact Cove Plumbing with any future plumbing needs."

A.O. Smith and the rest
One shop, every brand already in the house.
We sell A.O. Smith new. On everything already installed, we work on Kohler, Moen, Delta and American Standard fixtures without treating any of them as a special order.

A water heater rarely fails on its own.
Slow-moving drains, a change in the monthly water bill, and noisy pipes are three of the signs we check for on every maintenance visit, water heater or not. See the full maintenance and repair page, or the full services list.
